Dr. Malcolm Jones II is the author of CHEATED: How American Athletics Profits From Performance While Failing to Protect the People Inside It and the founder of the Dual Threat Framework and LifeShip Institute. A former college athlete, Dr. Jones has served as a teacher, athletic director, principal, and K-12 assistant superintendent, bringing a perspective on athlete development that is both personal and institutional. With 19 years of coaching experience, he has spent decades inside the systems he writes about. His work sits at the intersection of identity formation, academic preparation, and athlete welfare. He is not an outside critic. He lived inside it, coached inside it, led inside it, and built a framework to fix it.

CHEATED is the product of that experience. It documents how American athletics profits from athlete performance while systematically deferring the investment in who athletes are becoming beyond the game. It introduces the Dual Threat Framework, a development system built on four pillars, Education, Skills, Character, and Identity, that establishes a non-negotiable standard for athletes, coaches, parents, and administrators at every level.

Dr. Jones speaks nationally to athletic programs, state associations, coaching clinics, and educational organizations. His message is direct, data-driven, and built for every person connected to athletics who is ready to demand more than the system was designed to give.
