Dr. Maggie Harrison Lowery is the author of What Jesus Really Said. A social scientist, artist, and educator, she has traveled and lived in many places across America working in the fields of social services and education including many years of working in juvenile corrections. She has also owned and operated a sewing business specializing in wedding apparel and tailored suits.
She holds a B.A. in Social Sciences; a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences; a Master of Education and a Doctoral in Educational Leadership. Lowery has been involved. in many different churches across this country.
The tenth of fourteen children grew up in rural segregated Alabama. She has written other books including "Pressing My Way Throughout America" and others.
