Dr. Joey Minear is a fourth-generation Southern Oregonian, U.S. Air Force veteran, and seasoned congressional staffer dedicated to public service, community development, and strategic leadership. His journey blends deep rural roots with national defense experience and a passion for empowering local communities. Joey currently serves as the CEO of the Builders Association of Southern Oregon and has served as a Policy Advisor for a Member of Congress. He's known for translating complex policy into real-world impact, helping constituents navigate federal agencies, and building strong relationships across political and geographic divides. Before working for the House of Representatives, Joey served honorably in the United States Air Force from 2013 to 2021 before being medically retired. His military service instilled in him a people-first mindset and a deep understanding of the sacrifices made by service members and their families. Joey holds a Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University, a Master's in Political Science from American Military University, and a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Southern Oregon University. His academic focus has always centered on bridging policy and practice, particularly in areas where federal, state, and local systems intersect. Beyond his professional duties, Joey is deeply embedded in his community, serving on various boards and committees. In addition to his public service, Joey is an entrepreneur, and have started and ran several businesses. Joey lives in the Rogue Valley with his wife, Adrionna and their two children: Morgan and Daniel. Together, they remain committed to making Oregon a better place for the next generation.
