Donene Ferguson is a native Floridian. She was born in Bartow, Polk County and raised in Miami, Dade County. Donene was Majorette Captain for Miami Norland Senior High, attended Miami Dade College and Bethune-Cookman College as a member of the Marching Wildcat. She considers herself part of the sandwich generation (taking care of her Mother, while raising her children and taking care of her Veteran Disabled husband). Donene is a novelist creative and illustrator. She has written greeting cards, hallmarked Chaotic Views, juvenile non-fiction books, novel collections fiction/non- fiction, poetry, self-help relationship/caregiver guide and family biography. The book Jackson Family Reunion: Heritage Highway of Emanuel Jackson & Cora B Garrett is about her great grandparents. The book reveal was scheduled for July 2-5, 2020 during the reunion she would have hosted which was cancelled due to the world pandemic Covid 19 co-authored with Aunt Edna Hawes. A book that details the history of their heritage, the good, bad and ugly of how they came to be.
