Dominique Rodarte- Archuleta is twenty-five years old. She lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with her husband Zachary and their two pets, Stitch and Nachito. Dominique has been writing since she was twelve years old. She has independently published two versions of her book, "My Almost Poems Book." Which was compiled of poems she had written over the years.
Dominique has struggled with major depression and severe anxiety since she was fifteen years old. It has taken Dominique over ten years to become the woman her youngerself would be proud of. She chose to share her story through her book, "Sunflowers in the Dark". This is a story that Dominique has been trying to write and publish for over six years. She was given overwhelming support to get her story into the hands of others.
Dominique works in education as an Educational Assistant and is awaiting for acceptance into a program for Special Education Elementary Teaching. Special Education has become her passion.
Dominique is an advocate in support of mental health and learning about mental illness. She will not stop voicing her opinions on the importance of listening and not passing judgement on those that are struggling.
