Debra Lampert-Rudman loves dogs and flowers and has been writing stories and drawing and creating dogs in clay and on paper her whole life. When she was about 8 years old, she told the children's librarian in her New Jersey hometown that they needed more books on dogs because she had read them all. 

Garden of Love: A Dog & Flower Alphabet Party is the book Debra wishes she had grown up with. 

The author of many articles on dogs and dog art, Debra has won several awards for ceramic dog art, poetry and writing. In fact, she has received four Maxwell Awards, the Dog Writers Association of America's highest honor. 

Her ceramic art and watercolors have been featured in a solo show at the renowned William Secord Gallery in NYC. 

Debra enjoys actively serving in a number of dog clubs and volunteers for animal, arts, canine therapy, and other organizations. Very active in the world of dog shows with her Cocker Spaniels, Debra is an AKC Breeder of Merit.

Her cocker spaniel "Pistal", GCH Dal-Mar's Topaz Pistal, BN, CD, RN, CGC, TKN was #1 parti-color Cocker Spaniel in the US In 2011 and she has shown her cocker spaniel "Bolt" GCH Topaz Palm Beach Playboy, CD, BN, RM,FDC,CGCA,TKE at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in NYC twice - once to an Award of Merit and again to Select Dog honors. Bolt's pups, "Robbie" GCHB Topaz N BeGay's He's My Dreamboat, TKN was #3 parti-color Cocker Spaniel in the US in 2021, sisters "Luna" & "Zinnia" are also Champions!

It's all in the family - and they all love spending time together in the garden!
