Married for 50 years to the bride of his youth, Gail. They have two adult children (VA and FL) and 2 (soon to be 3) grandsons.               

Dave has over 40 years of success in operations and management, first as an Air Force aviator with more than 2000 hours of flying time in Special Forces and fighter aircraft. He retired from the Air Force in 1994, as a Lieutenant Colonel.

After his Air Force career, he became an operations manager and business developer with several small and large companies rising to Executive Management.

Dave retired from the largest company, L-3 Communications in 2008. While with L-3 Communications he held positions as VP and General Manager for a business unit doing $100M in annual revenue with the Department of Defense; and then subsequently he was VP and Deputy General Manager for a business unit doing $230M+ in annual revenue with the intelligence agencies.

Following is retirement from L-3, He served as VP, strategic business development for a small Tampa-based company creating new lines of business in Washington DC, and then retired from this company in 2012, moving on to help his daughter begin her own company.

Now fully retired, and a minority owner of Castalia Systems (Woman-Owned Small Business), Dave has turned to writing and continues to be active in his local church, teaching and leading bible studies.

Dave has an Educational Specialist (ED.S.) degree from George Washington University, a master’s degree (MS) from Vanderbilt and a Bachelors (BS) from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

He is a member of several professional military organizations associated with his work life and supports several charities.
