Dave grew up in the small central Massachusetts town of Millbury, and after graduating with honors from John Carroll University Cleveland, Ohio, he functioned as teacher, coach and athletic director at a prep. school in upstate New York. Later in life he was elected Receiver of Taxes for one of the largest towns in New York State, located twenty miles north of Manhattan.
For thirty-two years this mild-mannered accountant spent his evenings and weekends moonlighting as a professional wrestling referee, working with the WWF, NWA, NEW and numerous independent promotions.
He currently resides with his wife Valerie in the Catskill Mountain area of upstate New York.
