Clare Keating, a Registered Nurse of over 40 years, is also the prize-winning author of ‘To Dance in the Rain, A Mother and Daughter’s Journey of Hope and Healing, published in 2014. 'Thinking of Better Days: An Informative and Insightful Guide for Stroke Survivors, their Families, Healthcare Professional', is her most recent work. It is an in-depth view of her journey before, during and after a hemorrhagic stroke in March of 2021.

Writing has been a passion of Clare’s since her high school years and conveying stories of significant life events has been a great source of enjoyment for herself as well as her readers. Her writing style has been described as emotionally intelligent, charmingly straightforward with the perfect blend of humor and insight.

In addition to spending the last four decades as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital, she has been a member of humanitarian medical mission teams several times to Les Cayes and Cap Haitien, Haiti. Sharing her expertise and passion to make a positive change in others' lives is what led her there and continues to motivate her as she uses her years of experience as a nurse to help others.

Clare continues to live in Litchfield County where she, her three children, two grandchildren and extended family celebrate life and all its blessings frequently and with enthusiasm.
