Cheri Langley, PhD, MPH, CHES, is a Program Manager and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Louisville. For the past 20 years, Dr. Langley has been involved in practice and research involving infectious disease prevention, HIV/AIDS and STI awareness and prevention, adolescent risk behavior, and paternal engagement. As an epidemiologist, she has a great deal of experience in infectious disease surveillance, prevention, and intervention at the national level (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the state level (Kentucky Department of Public Health), and the local level (Jefferson County Department of Health – Birmingham, Alabama). She also has experience in these areas internationally including Jamaica, Ghana, and Thailand. As an epidemiologist, Dr. Langley also has a great deal of experience in community based participatory approaches particularly in underserved and minority populations. Additionally, Dr. Langley also has experience conducting innovative research, and conducting quantitative analysis using quantitative methods (i.e. SAS software, SPSS. As a professional, she has conducted research in adolescent risk behavior, adolescent sexual behavior, and paternal engagement, primarily in underserved areas and populations.
