Therese has been a voracious reader since childhood. Heaven was discovering the Carnegie Library in walking distance of her Springfield, Illinois home. Her family was loaded with readers and tale-tellers. Her two grandfathers, Nicholas and Ted, were instrumental in forming the core belief found in her writing: "Everyone can hold their own beliefs and still get along." This is an important theme of her current writing.
She is the mother of six, and an author of several books, including "Me and Green", a guide to small everyday things children can do to help the planet written with her daughters Mary and Catherine.
She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators; The Society of American Poets; The International Women's Writing Guild; Nonfiction Authors Association; International Coach Federation and Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP). She is a Certified HeartMath Trainer and Grief Counselor and writing teacher.
