Catherine Bator was born in Hollywood and once worked in the steno pool at MGM. She enjoyed a short but eventful show business career that took her to Paramount, Universal and Sam Goldwyn studios. She now lives in San Francisco with her husband, Frank, and a naughty wire fox terrier named Buster Keaton. You can often find her enjoying a vintage cocktail in one of San Francisco's historic watering holes. A GOOD, HARD SLAP is her debut novel and the origin story for the Nick and Gracie detective series. To learn more about the author, visit www.catherinebator.com.
