Born in Chicago, Carolyne Lark Swayze relocated to Northern California in early 1970. Making a career in local government, she retired in 2007 with more than thirty years of service. For a similar period, she worked as a pop/jazz singer, performing throughout the region, primarily working on the regional hotels and country clubs circuits. After discovering her family roots, she relocated to the southeastern part of the United States in 2021 to conduct further research. She currently resides outside of Savannah, Georgia, enjoying life in what she calls her fourth quarter, with writing taking center stage among various hobbies and pastimes.
