Publisher Info

“But I always liked side-paths, little dark back-alleys behind the main road-there one finds adventures and surprises, and precious metal in the dirt.”

                                                                             Fyodor Dostoyevski, Brothers Karamazov

“And for heaven’s sake, publish nothing before you are thirty.” – Virginia Woolf

Casa Forte is a small publishing house promoting seasoned voices,  writers whose life trajectory and resulting work stand apart from the cozy expectations of much mainstream literature.

We look for the autodidact whose work is more than experimentation but an overpowering necessity: self-taught artistry untainted by costly fiction writing courses,  authors whose voices are too stubborn and original to be molded by literary cliques and commercial forces.

We love great storytellers and we need them now more than ever.  We prefer daring uniqueness over crowd-pleasing. Original prose with unmistakable honesty.

We look for trailblazing narrative form gazing on universes we often overlook.

In non-fiction, we welcome excellence and expertise with grit, perspective, and human experience.

Most importantly, we look for masterful raconteurs who lure us into Dostoyevsky’s little dark back alleys steering us towards hidden gems.
