Author C.A. Portnellus enjoys the arts: theater costuming, a writer, poet, musician, fine artist, and cook. An admiring critter lover—animals play many roles in her stories. Married to the best guy who indulges and inspires the artist/author’s crazy hours devoted to creating. With a lovely feline muse of another generation producing these new books, Portnellus continues to fine-tune and write the La Barre saga and other short stories and novellas for adults and young adults. An avid historian, she employs interesting timelines woven within the plots. Many evoke nostalgia of past decades and bring humor, love, faith, and bittersweet-tart story-telling.
