I am a retired twenty-six-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Police Department. The town I had grown up in went crazy with cocaine, cartel drug wars, and murders became an everyday occurrence. Then, in 1980, the county experienced deadly race riots and the Mariel boatlift. I was among nearly a thousand others who joined the local police departments. After working as a patrolman for five years, I transferred to the Crime Scene Investigative Bureau to work major cases for nine years, being assigned the lead in over three hundred homicides. I was approached the Homicide Bureau Commander and asked to apply for one of their openings. I spent my last twelve years there before retiring. I bring a unique approach to crime solving with my experience as a trained Crime Scene Investigator and Homicide Detective.
