Holly Ross is an educator, photographer, and storyteller who draws inspiration from the natural world. Their passion for wildlife photography began with documenting the Missouri wild horses that roam the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, including Emmi, a member of the Shawnee herd. A juried photographer with the Best of Missouri Hands, her work has been exhibited in shows, featured in Midwest Living magazine, and even sold at Hobby Lobby. Observing wild horse behavior over the years has deeply informed her handling and training of Emmi, adopted in 2022. As a grandparent, Holly treasures the opportunity to share Emmi's story with their family and hopes to inspire children everywhere with themes of hope, friendship, and new beginnings.
