From a young age, I've always liked cooking and baking. However, I didn't do much of it until I got married in the summer of 1994. I always followed recipes and didn't pay much attention to ingredients as long as the food tasted good. But when I started cooking more mindfully, I found success in the kitchen and I wanted more! I started making homemade breads and meals from scratch. I had found my second passion in life!

After 25 years working as a corporate accountant, my ambition and drive shifted when I discovered the power of food to impact our physical and mental wellbeing. I decided to leave my job. I got my certification as an integrative nutrition health coach in 2016 and have been helping people live healthier, more nourished lives ever since. It was a definite shift from being an accountant to becoming an integrative nutrition health coach, but I knew I was on the right path. 

With the encouragement of my family and friends, I started work on my own recipe book to share my secrets to cooking healthy, delicious, easy food with the world. While some food can make you feel sluggish and tired, eating real food has just the opposite effect! Having said that, we all need comfort food occasionally. It might not be totally healthy, but that is perfectly fine. It's very important to lead a balanced life and enjoy the food that makes you feel good. Nourishing your soul is as important as nourishing your body!
