Hi, I’m Jupiter Sacadura, a children’s author who writes stories about autism, inclusion, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
My journey as a writer began with my son, Harlan, who has Level 3 autism. When I first started walking alongside him, I searched for books that truly reflected his experiences and our family’s journey—and I couldn’t find what we needed. So I began to write the stories I wished had been there: stories that honor difference, spark empathy, and remind every child that who they are is enough.
I also work as a special needs teaching assistant at Fayetteville Elementary, where I see firsthand the resilience, creativity, and courage children bring to the classroom every day. These moments inspire me to create books that help families, educators, and kids connect in deeper, more compassionate ways.
I believe stories can fill gaps, open hearts, and build bridges—and I hope that my books will do just that.
