Byron McCoy is a fifth-generation farmer living in west-central Missouri with his wife and three children. McCoy writes from reflections and thoughts developed throughout long and often solitary days in the field where body works and mind wanders. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. He writes from the perspectives he has lived: boy, man, Marine, husband, father, farmer. He is a practicing Catholic, values his faith, does his best to live a life of love and gratitude, and seeks to express these values in his works.
