Description

Pocomoke City, Maryland, has been a welcoming destination for hundreds of years. She is known as “The Friendliest Town on the Eastern Shore ” for good reason. The secret has always been her people. Our Discovery Center invites you to see us as we are. The Trail Committee wants you to know about our Discovery Nature Trail, as well as the natural wonder of our wooded wetlands and the people who volunteer to blaze and keep the Trail. This book is the story of the Trail as it came to be and as it now is. The book attempts to share the essence of the Trail concept , from its elegant line drawings of birds and plants done by local artist Doug Dryden to short essays on seasons of the Trail. We feature the insights of experts in wetlands, botany and ornithology, presented by season.
