Hello.

Just want to provide a brief explanation of the issues which compelled the writer to tell this story.

In a nutshell, a lack of investment in alternate energy sources.

You see, if we were brave enough to take a look at our fossil fuel consumption and the resources remaining, if we had a leadership capable of foresight and an energy industry honest enough to explain our upcoming, inevitable crisis; or if we had a government that might provide solutions, then the scenario played out in our book, Timeline, might be avoided.

That not being the case, and the solution offered in Timeline a sci fi fantasy, where will we be in twenty years? What will be the energy solution for our children and grandchildren?

Now this is just a work of fiction where our story allows an alien power source to solve an immediate crisis. So no real solution here.

But then our story goes much deeper, revealing the real cause of our predicament, and we can see where we went wrong and how far off course we are.

And in the end we come to know the necessary course correction, staggering in magnitude, will be up to us.

And frankly its not looking good.

Timeline is set in the near future, at a time when an energy crisis has the world on edge and at the brink of financial collapse. It is the story of a young man living in Brooklyn, NY who works for a large utility company as a field technician. A tragic work accident has killed his partner and best friend. After a time off, and just meeting and possibly falling in love with a young lady, his life course begins to bend towards a new and unexpected path. Moving into a management position, and rising quickly through the ranks, he comes to know facts meets his new benefactor, CEO Ed Deeb, and an outside influence only known as AL. As the story progresses, and Link learns of the history and science behind a new Alternate Power Source Mr. Deeb and AL have been working on, he realizes there is much more to the story than he could have possibly imagined, and his role in it becomes almost too much to bear. Then as it all comes into focus, Link realizes the magnitude of the crisis, well beyond the fuels and financial matters, and the fate of humanity is set upon his shoulders.

Born in Brooklyn and raised on Flatbush Ave., Larry still lives in his hometown of New York City,  happily married with three children and a small but beautiful brood of grandchildren. After a 40 year career in Construction Management, Larry is now able to spend his days with family and friends, getting outdoors and of course writing novels.

Living in a small house in south Brooklyn, in-between enjoying walks in the park with his dog Koko, Larry is now finishing up the sequel to Timeline, an exciting story of literally infinite possibilities, titled ScreenWar.
