Description
Do you hate the corporate job that sucks up your time? Do you feel stuck in a box into which society has shoved you (and left you to die)? Break free from typical career conventions with Shanah Bell's The Art of Being a PITA, which guides new adults and recent college graduates through the ins-and-outs of living life the way that no one talks about. By rejecting the mainstream ideology that a typical 9-to-5 day is the only way to be successful, Bell explains how she earns a happy and prosperous living by working multiple non-traditional jobs and side-grinds. She asserts that going against the grain not only challenged her to think outside the box, but made her an expert on adapting and diversifying—skills that come in handy in the most unexpected ways. With a timeline of the myriad jobs she's held and the lessons they taught her, to a breakdown of basic financial steps that each unconventional employee should take to secure their future, The Art of Being a PITA is the ultimate guide to making and sustaining a happy, unorthodox life.
About the author
Shanah Bell grew up in an entrepreneurial family, which drives her to think outside the box. As someone who hasn't stopped moving since her feet first hit the ground, she's not about to stop now! She is constantly learning new things and implementing this knowledge into her daily life. With a Master's in nutrition, she helps others learn to heal themselves through dietary adaptation. She and her spouse have 5 children in a blended family, which can get a little crazy, but they love it and do everything they can to teach their children how to think creatively. Her goal in life is not only to live her highest and best life, but to help everyone around her live theirs, too.
