Meet Albert! He's a white peacock who volunteers for the Boulder Creek Fire Department in the redwood forest of California, and he loves showing off his bright white tail. One day a wildfire approaches. Can Albert help save the town and be a hero to Boulder Creek? Based on the real-life Albert, the resident white peacock of Boulder Creek, CA who survived the 2020 CZU Lightning Complex Fire.
The story of Albert will teach children resilience and survival in the face of adversity, and it can be used to help children dealing with local wildfires process what is happening around them. All proceeds from the sale of Albert's Ashes: A Peacock's Tail will go toward local volunteer fire departments.
