Young Minds, Big Feelings is a heartfelt anthology crafted by the bright minds of our 8 to 10-year-old campers at the Durant Family Charitable Foundation Summer Enrichment Camp. Under the guidance of The Poet Life and their art educators, the young authors were encouraged to delve deeply into their emotions and experiences, transforming them into compelling stories. We would like to thank The Poet Life and their art educators for assisting and making these young authors' dreams come true. Through their words, they've shown incredible creativity, and emotional awareness, allowing readers to become aware of emotional challenges that they encounter from day to day.
The authors of these stories learned the art of storytelling, exploring the vast range of emotions that come with their unique experiences. As you turn the pages of Young Minds, Big Feelings, you will embark on a journey through the minds of young individuals grappling with big emotions.
We invite you to explore their world, understand their struggles, and celebrate their triumphs. The emotions described in the stories will hopefully allow readers to understand how they identify, communicate, and manage their own emotions.
But the story doesn't stop there! Our 11 to 13-year-old campers dove into the world of podcasting, interviewing each young author about their experience and journey to writing and becoming first-time authors.
