Houses have all kinds of personalities based on the people who live inside them. Sometimes they are lived in by one beautiful heartbeat, sometimes many. And sometimes, as told in this story, if they're really, really lucky, a new heartbeat moves in that changes everything.

Liz is not a writer. Her dad is not an artist. So, naturally, she wrote a short story and enlisted her dad to provide the illustrations. She is a military spouse who will soon be moving again with her husband and two daughters. She may have to move to new places and different houses, but, with them by her side, she's always home.
