The book is a product of a seven year research project designed to learn directly from care partners and caregivers on lessons learned from past mistakes and successes. The lessons are illustrated by stories shared. Dr. Klos introduces the PLS method of Parkinson's disease caregiving which has served his patients very well. He has witnessed the highs and lows of caregiving for Parkinson's disease patients and shares insights from their experiences.  

About the author
Kevin Klos, MD is a board-certified neurologist and Movement Disorder Specialist. He completed a neurology residency and fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is the founder of the Movement Disorder Clinic of Oklahoma where he operates a full time clinical practice and conducts clinical research trials in Parkinson's disease. He is a caregiver for his mother, Judy, who battles Parkinson's disease. Dr. Klos and his wife Shannon make their home in Tulsa, OK along with their seven children.
