Those lies prevent you from living in freedom and give power to the promoter of lies—Satan. The fundamental process is that you will work through chapters that highlight the most commonly believed lies. You will then: 1. Admit – honestly examine your agreements with lies and corresponding beliefs and behaviors. 2. Renounce – formerly speak against those beliefs and behaviors as being lies. 3. Confess – declare your trust in the truth. The key to living an exchanged life is trust. Specifically, entrusting your understanding of truth to the only One who remains steadfast and immovable, Jesus Christ.

Because the truth has no agenda and is not influenced by culture, popularity or feelings, truth should be independent of all other factors. Throughout history many attempts have been made to establish truth; each have failed with the exception of one—the Bible. The key to living an exchanged life is trust. Specifically, entrusting your understanding of truth to the only One who remains steadfast and immovable, Jesus Christ. On the pages that follow, you will discover that the truth of the Bible is the one thing that remains untainted by the world and, as a result, can be trusted. You may have received this manual from a friend, or perhaps you are involved in an ongoing group that uses this material to provide hope and support. This manual is most effective if you work through the chapters with a close friend, preferably someone who has gone through the process. Their testimony of an exchanged life and wisdom will be beneficial to you as you exchange lies for truth. Listen to their insight; be willing to follow their instruction; filter what they advise through the truth of the Bible. Michael Perron was born in St. Paul, Minn., and is the older of two children. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 27, after years of running from God in the darkness of the drug culture. Immediately after accepting Christ, he joined the leadership team of one of the largest Christian singles gatherings in Dallas, Texas, until the demons of drugs ensnared him once again in 1994. In the midst of his darkness, the world once again captured his heart with fame and fortune. He gained world prominence as the star of ESPN's Co-ed Training, Time Warner's Abs and Chest of Steel, appearances on the cover of Men's Fitness magazine, Entertainment Tonight and the Today Show. His life in the spotlight continued until the summer of 1998 when the Spirit of God called to him once again. Through the voice of a woman Michael had never met, the Lord said, "Young man, God is telling you He will restore the years the locust have eaten," and Michael's life was forever transformed. He was radically set free from the darkness of drugs and was commissioned to take the message of freedom to those who are in bondage. In 2003, Michael was licensed and ordained into the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the laying on of hands. He was the Minister to Single Adults at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, and while there, began a ministry to help hurting and wounded people. During this time, he began writing his first published work, XChanged Life, which is a deliverance and discipleship manual. In 2008, Michael heard the voice of God to start a church in a segment of Dallas that had been untouched for 73 years, and he began Summit Life Church in Addison, Texas. Over the course of seven years, Summit Life touched hearts, transformed minds, and trained disciples for the kingdom of God. He returned to Prestonwood Baptist Church in 2018 as Minister of Life Recovery. Michael and his wife, Christina, have three children, Grayson, Isabella and Michaela.
