About the author
Melissa Dodd Raised in the High Mountains of Western North Carolina, Melissa has spent her life researching the Appalachian customs and traditions. Being a native Appalachian Mountaineer, Melissa understands the mountain people and their ways which are still a reflection of their past history. As Melissa begins her writing journey, she uses the colorful terms used by the Mountaineers to give the reader a better taste of the Appalachian style of language.
