About the author
Rick Wilson is a retired material engineer and principal investigator from the National Energy Technology Laboratory US Department of Energy. He also taught in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Oregon State University. He holds several patents and has written extensively on high temperature materials. For 17 years he was a EA2 surveyor with the U.S. Navy SEABEES of RNMCB 18 and 14 years as a surveyor with the 1249 Engineers Oregon National Guard. He has a PhD in materials engineering from the Oregon Graduate Institute of Science the Technology, a Master of Science degree in physics from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Southern Oregon State University. He lives in Corvallis Oregon with his wife Barb.
