"These fiction/non-fiction short stories and poems in this book are inspired and based on true events". "New evidence has been discovered of what is known as The Erie railroad disappearances. Four children all nine years old of age were last seen walking on the old Erie railroad tracks in the City of Middletown, New York six years ago in 2012".

Mr. Warren is a 45-year old radio engineer whom heard the story and set out to find the children. To find the children, he would need to do something he promised never to do again. He gives up his quiet life and travels to Orange County New York where strange occurrences start to happen.

However, the destruction of the City of Middletown approaches and time is running out for Mr. Warren. He is left with two options: find the children before 2018 ends or allow the City to end in a ball of fire.
