Description

Are You Struggling with Vertigo? Discover What's Really Behind Your Dizziness!

Vertigo and dizziness are among the most common health issues worldwide, affecting millions of people. But despite how widespread these problems are, many critical questions remain unanswered:

  • Why are effective treatments so hard to find?
  • Why does vertigo often return, even after treatment?
  • Why do conditions like Ménière's disease and BPPV keep coming back?

Beyond Just a Diagnosis: A Comprehensive Approach

It's not enough to simply label a condition as "vertigo" or "dizziness." Many diagnoses, like chronic subjective dizziness, phobic postural vertigo, and even Ménière's disease or BPPV, might seem precise but often miss the bigger picture. Understanding the specific nature of each patient's condition is the first crucial step toward effective treatment. "Why Are You Still Dizzy?" empowers patients by demystifying their conditions and providing the knowledge they need to take control.

Could Your Vertigo Diagnosis Be Missing Something?

Dr. Uneri raises an important question: "What if your vertigo diagnosis isn't entirely accurate?" In "Why Are You Still Dizzy?", Dr. Uneri explores the possibility that many cases of Ménière's disease, BPPV, and chronic dizziness may actually stem from a single, often overlooked cause: Vestibular Migraine (VM).

A Journey Through History and Modern Medicine

Did you know that migraine-related vertigo has been recognized since AD 200? This book takes you on a fascinating journey through the history of the migraine-vertigo connection, leading up to the modern challenges we face today. Learn why Vestibular Migraine took nearly two millennia to gain recognition and why the medical community is still debating its classification.

Understanding Your Vestibular System

Explore the vestibular system—the part of your body that controls balance. Understand how it works, what happens when it goes wrong, and why this knowledge is key to overcoming dizziness. With easy-to-follow explanations and visual aids, complex concepts become accessible.

An Overlooked Epidemic

Vestibular Migraine's diverse symptoms often lead to misdiagnosis. Recognizing it allows for a holistic approach to treatment, considering your genetics, lifestyle, and personal history to create a plan that truly works.

A Medico-Philosophical Journey

Trace the evolution of medical thought through the works of pioneers like Aretaeus, Darwin, and Prosper Ménière. See how their insights have shaped our current understanding of vertigo and dizziness.

Take Back Control of Your Life!

"Why Are You Still Dizzy?" redefines how we understand and treat vertigo. It's not just about managing symptoms—it's about enhancing the quality of life for millions of people. Learn practical strategies to manage your condition through diet, sleep, and exercise, and embrace a new approach to health that sees you as a whole person.
