Whispers From God

'I know you're a God who speaks, but why can't I hear you?'

Have you asked that question before, too? I'd been listening for a loud, audible voice thundering down from the heavens, but it turns out, many times, the Lord speaks to us in a still, small voice. It also ends up that I had to stop doing all of the talking and actually take time to listen. Friends, God loves to speak to His children and He will say just what we need to hear when we get quiet before Him, and listen for His whisper.

You need to hear the whispers from God to be reminded that a relationship is two people talking, listening, and taking turns. This book is an important reminder that you do have a relationship with our heavenly Father and He does want to speak. He wants to speak His truth, His love, and His faithfulness to you.

I'd found myself in a tough season of unrest and confusion. During this time, I was challenged by two different people to create intentional time to be still and write down what I heard God speaking to me. Would I even be able to hear His voice? I honestly wasn't sure.

 In this intentional and renewed time with Him, I quickly realized that the majority of my prayer time had been spent doing all of the talking and none of the listening. I never even stopped to try to hear God's voice. When I decided to get quiet, ask God what He wanted to say to me, and truly listen, I was amazed! 

God spoke loving encouragement to me and reminded me of His promises. He whispered scripture in my ear and filled me with His peace. It truly changed my life and I knew I had to share it with you.

 I created 'Whispers From God' to not only encourage you with the words He shared with me, but to challenge you to get quiet before the Lord and write down, in the space provided, what He whispers to you each day. 

The 30 devotionals are written as your heavenly Father speaking to you. There are several scripture verses to accompany each devotional, as well as an area for you to write what you hear. I pray your life will be changed forever by this 30-day journey with our awesome God!

Mellie Boozer is a model and actress whose devotional writings encourage believers to personally meet the God who speaks. During a season of confusion and unrest in her life, Mellie was challenged to ask God to speak, and journal what she heard. Unsure if she would hear God at all – she started setting aside daily listening time. The results were eye-opening, and Whispers from God: A 30-Day Devotional was born.
