Where Miracles Live

There is a place in God, a state of being, where the supernatural becomes natural, the miraculous becomes the norm, and healings are instantaneous. Its the place where hope becomes expectation, and where fear, doubt, worry and unbelief simply do not exist. The manifestation of the power of God through the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the miracles that Jesus said we would do are critical to the work of the ministry Jesus called us to. It is of absolute necessity that believers walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. This generation is addicted to distraction and it will take the manifested miracles that Jesus performed and the “greater works” to get their attention. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, AFTER that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” He summed it up in that one verse, that we would receive power and why, to be witnesses of Him. If we are ever to reach this generation, it will be through the manifested power of God confirming the Gospel of Jesus Christ with signs and wonders following. Even though I went to a denominational church which never mentioned anything about the power of God, the Holy Spirit, and not even much about salvation, I had some very powerful encounters with God throughout my childhood. I won’t go into detail here but you can read about it all in my book, “Where Miracles Live” available through this site. I finally truly came to understand the simple Gospel and was born again on February 21st, 1974 and was filled with the Holy Spirit the next night. Ministry: I had been playing guitar since I was 10 years old and was now 19. I was never really able to write my own songs before, but now I was writing several every week. I was now leading worship at the new church I was attending and would share one or two of the new songs each week. As visitors came and heard these songs I started being asked to come and minister at other churches and events. I have been very blessed to have ministered with Lester Sumrall, Kenneth Hagin, Norvel Hayes and other wonderful men of faith and have seen the power of God touch men’s lives in Salvation, healings and being filled with the Holy Ghost. In the mid to late 1970s I traveled and ministered in Michigan, Indiana, and Tennessee. In 1980, two dear friends joined with me and we formed the band, Charis, and ministered in concerts throughout the upper Midwest. The original band dissolved after a few years and I resumed my solo ministry for a short time. The band was reformed with new members in 1984 and we again ministered in concerts throughout the upper Midwest. We were very blessed to be able to open for a few of the bigger names in Christian music such as Nancy Honeytree and David and the Giants, and shared the stage with Bob Bennett, Chris Christian, and Rich Mullins. It's my heart’s desire to share the love of God toward man through the message of Jesus Christ, and to see that message confirmed by the manifested power of the Holy Spirit in healings and deliverance. It is of absolute necessity that believers walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. This generation is addicted to distraction and it will take the manifested miracles that Jesus performed and the “greater works” to get their attention. My heart breaks to see how far we've fallen from the Love and Grace of God. But to have an effect on this world, we need to forget about the "issues" of today and follow the example of the Apostle Paul when he said, "For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified".
