Description

When Nanny Became our Guardian Angel is about the personal journey we take when we lose someone, as well as how we and our loved ones cope, survive, and thrive after loss. Those who we lose live on in our happiest memories, and in the love they continue to share with us in our daily lives. They exist in our world, bringing us signs of hope, peace, joy, love, and light. This book helps both the children in our lives, and us, to better understand what it means to lose a loved one.

About The Author

As a mom, educator, public speaking coach, writer, mentor, and volunteer, I value all forms of deep and meaningful communication and authentic connections. Reckless optimist, grateful heart, with a childlike wonder and a belief in humanity and the power of positivity.

For the past 3 years, I have been studying happiness. Serendipitously, I was invited to Australia to give a workshop on happiness as it aligns to purpose, perspective, and positivity.

Last year, I went to Finland to conduct research on the reported happiest country in the world eight years running not only to get a better sense of Finnish happiness, but to gain perspective on what we can do to increase our happiness here in the states.

Presently, I am continuing my happiness studies in Iceland, as well as working on my children’s books in the Boo Boo Duck series. Where in the World is Boo Boo Duck? Finland! just got released, and I am finalizing my second book in Boo Boo Duck’s world tour series, set in Australia.

My BIG dream is to put a Boo Boo Duck book and accompanying plushie (weighted and textured for comfort and love) in the hands of children in the hospital or who are otherwise sick, hurting in any way, or with special needs.

I am infinitely grateful for the gift of each and every day of life, the opportunity to help make a positive impact (however great or small) on our communities (locally and globally), and the ability to learn and grow with all the people I meet along the way…in happiness, purpose, gratitude, peace, hope, love, and light.
