Carol Higgins-Lawrence wrote her first story at the age of five and her dad paid her a quarter for it! She's been writing ever since. Carol was inspired to write this story while playing with her children in the park and appreciating the cultural differences and similarities among everyone. She has worked as a Literacy Educator and English Teacher for speakers of other languages. Carol lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two children.
