Susan has been a long time cannabis activist. She spent more than half of her life as a very conservative religious leader. After struggling with a severe injury for 2 years she found medical cannabis which not only provided her much needed pain relief but helped open her mind and heart to new possibilities.
By chance, she got the opportunity to be on the popular iHeartRadio phenomenon The Woody Show. During the course of the interview, Woody asked how to talk to children about cannabis. Her answer was disappointing to her because she didn't. She resolved to make sure that grownups had a tool to talk to the children in their lives about cannabis in an open and honest way and was the inspiration for the book "What's Growing in Grandma's Garden.
As a serial entrepreneur, she has worn many hats including expertise in digital media, marketing, social media, startups, advertising, business development, public policy, market research, film production, public speaking, and cannabis cultivation.
