A Conversation Between 10 Poets

By 10 Collaborating Poets, Gaea Bailey, Bob Blatz, Kit Boyer, Michael D. Huff, Benjamin McClellan, Ien Nivens, Yvette Saenz, Randy Sproat, Jasen Randall Thompson and Barbara Whitesides Pena

Overview

This is a perfect book for those readers who are just getting into poetry and for those avid readers who are looking for a new experience in verse. One poet wrote a poem and was puzzled.  Where did this come from and what is it really about? She added the question What is this? and nine poets were eager to answer.  You will find references to mythology, history, human experience, larger issues of the world we live in, and more.

To help you follow the conversation we have created a guide in the form of a bookmark which is printed with the first poem so you can reference it as you move from one poem to another. The bookmark is available for FREE! When you order the book, drop us an email at oldhuntroadpress@yahoo.com with your name and address and we will mail it out asap. Enjoy!

Description

What is This? A Conversation Between 10 Poets is a collection, a collaboration, and an anthology. It began with the first poem, written by Gaea Bailey. When she presented the poem for critique, her fellow poets immediately began a discussion that answered the question posed...what is this? Nine poets from different parts of the United States wrote 17 poems in response and this book was born. The works included here center around varied themes and viewpoints. We hope our readers come to the realization there is no one right way to read and understand a poem.
