About the author
Christopher Jones is an adult ESL teacher and a Christian ESL author. He has been an ESL instructor for over 26 years; first with the North York Board of Education and then the Toronto District School Board, plus a one-year stint in the “mission field” in the Spanish Bronx, New York City, as head of the ESL department of a Christian elementary school. Moreover, he has written articles for an ESL teachers’ newspaper and an ESL teachers’ magazine. He attended elementary school in England. He, along with his family, immigrated to Canada while in his mid teens. From high school to university, he completed the rest of his formal education in Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from York University, in Toronto, and a TESOL teaching certificate from the University of Toronto. He loves teaching so it’s not surprising that at his local church you’ll surely find him teaching a Bible study class. With Welcome!, he combines his two great loves, his love for Christ and his love of teaching, in order to reach out to ESL students and speakers who want to learn about Jesus in English. He resides in a lakeside town just outside of Toronto with his lovely wife and correspondingly four lovely children; two currently in high school and two in university.
