Weird Fish in the Wrong Pond is a vibrant, funny, and deeply human memoir about growing up, growing apart, and finding your rhythm in the chaos. About The Author

Sescie is a Los Angeles–born writer, storyteller, and pop-culture connoisseur who grew up in the neon glow of the San Fernando Valley. A proud daughter of immigrants, she writes with humor, honesty, and cinematic flair about identity, family, and the beauty of finding where you belong.

Her debut memoir, Weird Fish in the Wrong Pond, is a love letter to the outsiders, the late bloomers, and the weirdos who learned how to swim upstream with glitter on their fins. With the timing of a sitcom and the heart of a late-night talk with your best friend, she explores family, identity, heartbreak, and the pop-culture moments that shaped her — from Walter Mercado horoscopes and TRL countdowns to psychic readings that changed her life.
