We the People: Know the Past, Understand the Present, Secure the Future by Carol Sewell “It is time for Christians to reengage and once again become salt and light in the civil arena, and We the People: Know the Past, Understand the Present, Secure the Future equips Christians to be effective citizens, thus preserving both our civil and religious liberties.” – David Barton, Wallbuilders As the church in America continues to lose influence on our culture and basic freedoms become more restricted and regulated, it is time for American Christians to recommit to securing the future for our children and grandchildren. We the People was written to educate American Christians of all ages regarding true American Christian Heritage, biblical worldview, the Constitution and our political system. All of this in an easy to understand format that can be used for individual or group study. Generation to generation wants to challenge Christians in their everyday walk with the Lord so that He is the major force in their moment by moment decision making. We purpose to reinvigorate this nation with a greater knowledge of God’s purpose for America and how Christianity and citizenship work together to accomplish God’s plan. Carol Sewell is also a passionate and articulate speaker.

One of God’s original instructions to the people of God is to teach His word to our children and grandchildren. We are to pass our faith and knowledge of the Word of God to each generation. He also expects us to teach our children and grandchildren the truth about America’s founding and His involvement in it. It is clearly obvious by the culture around us that we have not been faithful to do that and therefore we have lost our influence on our culture. How can we teach what we ourselves do not know and model; and can the damage be repaired? We the People: Know the Past, Understand the Present, Secure the Future was written for the purpose of educating Christians and giving them the information they need to teach their children and grandchildren about biblical worldview, America’s true history, and our biblical system of government. We the People pulls all the elements together in one easy to understand read. Armed with this information you will be able to fully engage in the battle for the heart and soul of our nation and ultimately the Church. Once the body of Christ is educated and thinking in agreement with God’s word (thinking like Jesus) we can and will influence the culture of the nation and secure liberty for all. The body of Christ must be in unity – pray in unity, speak in unity and act in unity. We the People: Know the Past, Understand the Present, Secure the Future is the book every Christian home should have. We must be equipped to train the next generation if the future of America is to be secured for them and their children. It will take three consecutive generations being in agreement to bring about the change needed. Just think what it would be like in your own family if your grandparents, you and your children were all in agreement with the Word of God and moving as one. God never intended there to be a generation gap! Had we been faithful to intentionally teach these things to each generation we would not be a nation in decline. We the People makes it simple for us to repent and begin to do what past generations have failed to do! Now as never before it is time to commit to make the sacrifice to engage in this battle with prayer, fasting and above all getting educated on our Constitutional system knowing that with rights come responsibilities (action).

Carol Sewell, a native Californian grew up in Tyler, Texas and graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 1980, after attending Washington for Jesus, Carol developed a passion for America and its political system. Since then, she has been devoted to educating herself and her fellow Christians about America’s Christian heritage and our responsibility to engage in the political process. She started her political activism as a pro-family advocate in Oklahoma opposing the Equal Rights Amendment and has been involved as political liaison at church, a precinct chairman, been an election judge and has worked in local, state, and national campaigns. She also writes for the Texas Insider, an online newspaper. It is Carol’s desire to see the generations come together in unity as each generation begins to pass on biblical living, faith, the truth about our Christian heritage, and patriotism. We the People was written with this purpose in mind. She writes and speaks with passion, knowledge, and sincerity. She explains our governmental system in an easy to understand way always stressing the biblical foundations rooted in our laws and founding documents. Carol is also a 34 + years breast cancer survivor. She and her husband have lived in Oklahoma, Texas and California. Currently, Carol and her husband reside in Plano, Texas and enjoy living near their daughter, son-in-law and three grandsons.
