About The Author

Ishag Elhalangi, known as "President of Love", is an iconic poet – famous in Africa and the Middle East. He was born in Kassala – Old Al Khattmieh Village. Throughout his life and career, he has written dozens of songs for major artists. He is the recipient of the Medal of Science, Literature and Arts from the President of Sudan. Among his songs that won awards outside the country is his song (Farhi Khalq Allah/Wast Al Dayrah) by the late artist Mohamed Wardi. It is one of his melodies and was sung by the great Egyptian artist Mohamed Mounir. His song (Badri Sahit Min Nomi) won the first prize in the Arab Children's Songs Competition sponsored by the League of Arab States in 1995, which was held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
