Description

This is a true short story of a very painful journey through mystery life threatening illnesses that tested the resolve and determination of the human spirit. As the years progress, Mary’s health continues to deteriorate until she is experiencing a myriad of life threatening symptoms that are a total mystery to the medical profession. While her friends are marrying, having children and building careers she is fighting for her life. Hell bent on finding answers she continues to fight to be noticed - to get the answers she is seeking. Stumbling from one doctor to another, one hospital to another, she refuses to give up. During this difficult journey Mary is forced to dig deep to survive while she battles not only her physical disabilities but now her depression. As if by the hand of some blessed miracle she digs deep to find that pilot light inside all of us, fueled by the energy of the infinite; that small flame that once lit, flares when challenged, and from then on will only be extinguished when you take your last breath. The years continue without improvement until she is finally at a point of no return. At rock bottom, she learns the lesson of "acceptance". She needs to accept the way things are - to let go of her emotional attachment to her suffering. This letting go unleashes a new wave of change. She develops an interest in meditation and metaphysics which she studies with dedication and then sets out to change her world. Determined to take back her power, she decides to manage the illness instead of letting it manage her. She formulates an Action Plan and is soon catapulted from her misery to miraculous, heaven sent miracle cures.
