Vision God's Gift to Joseph and You

By Joseph’s life we will discern like the tribe of Issachar who had understanding of the times and seasons, a man’s destiny and purpose is marked by periods for particular activity: a time or period of years during which a particular activity usually takes place in a persons spiritual growth, development, potential and God given purpose. Joseph’s life is made up of seasons of purpose ! Purpose according to the late Dr. Myles Munroe is “the reason for the existence of a thing.” Its defined as why you exist or the original intention of the creator of a thing”. I propose, assert and conclude what is true of a literal dream and vision is in fact true of the metaphor of an individual’s vision dream for their life if it is lived for the glory of God as with Joseph the dreamer!

Joseph’s life is proof positive that in a dream or vision, God is giving you a word for your life, showing you your future! He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. Psalm 105:19 Your dream is a vision of your future and your vision is a word from the Lord of your future destiny and purpose for His glory. This is the assertion of “Vision God’s Gift to Joseph and You”, it is revelation knowledge and the revelation of the word of God. You will understand a dream is a sealed vision of the future unless you have the gift of interpretation given by God and the disclosure of this text. Both Joseph and Daniel declare that interpretations belong to the Lord. Dreams in scripture are always a subconscious vision of the future! “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29 The aforementioned verse declare secrets, mysteries and sealed truth belong to believers for their comprehension and understanding! Therefore in a capsule: your dream and vision is the Lord showing you a snap shot of your purpose and future destiny. A dream symbolizes the invisible picture, expectation, desire and hope of accomplishment, achievement and fulfillment in your future! Each of us as children began to dream of becoming something or someone relating to an occupational fulfillment: such as a ballerina, dancer, entertainer, professional athlete, policemen, judge, politician, fireman, college professor or president, principle, teacher, nurse doctor or preacher! The Lord puts that in us before we are born for He makes everything to fulfill itself and for his pleasure! “The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble”. Proverbs 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelations 4:11 Whatever your dream and vision is, you must tie it and connect it to the kingdom of God. It must be to glorify the Lord and advance the kingdom of God. Therefore if you are wondering what is your purpose? Get to know Jesus, He has your plans!
