V is for Vegetable

This creative approach to the classic ABCs teaches early literacy and nutrition by introducing children, parents, teachers and daycare providers to common and exotic vegetables from around the world as if they were taking a journey down a produce aisle. The playful rhymes make it an excellent read-aloud, or it can read independently by emerging readers. The illustrations are full-color photographs (not drawings) of each vegetable. The photographs are artistic and appealing, and the author-illustrator ingeniously cut each vegetable to form each letter of the alphabet as well. This book is a companion to "F is for Fruit" by the same author-illustrator. Fun for all ages!
