Description

The Unseen Warfare Prayer Book is like no other Orthodox prayer book. It is not just a book of prayers—it is a book about prayer for the Christian fighter. Designed for both beginners and the experienced, the book is structured so one can choose a short prayer rule, explore longer prayer options, or even embark on the Jesus Prayer Rule of St. Pachomius. Along with the traditional daily prayers (in old English, Thou/Thy), this unique book contains numerous prayers for the modern Christian fighter, such as prayers to combat addiction, lustful appetites, depression, addiction to technology (internet and social media), and even deliverance from exposure to the diabolical. There is even a chapter called The Deadman's Prayer, for those who are experiencing the "dark night of the soul." This small, beautifully designed book includes traditional Morning Prayers, Evening Prayers, Prayers for Communion, and various other common prayers. The last chapters include Unseen Warfare At-A-Glance and the Prayer Life of the Church. Built for daily use, the book features high-quality printing and binding, allowing it to lie flat and last long.

About The Author

Justin Marler is an American author and musician known for leaving a burgeoning career in punk and metal music for the solitude of the monastic life, where he spent seven years living with monks. He is known for founding the popular Death to the World 'zine, and penning many articles about the catastrophic effects of modern life on the younger generation. In the 90's Marler lived in an isolated monastery on the deserted end of an island in Alaska, where he wrote his first book, Youth of the Apocalypse, by candle light, with only a pen and a ream of paper. He is the author of numerous travel guidebooks, and books and articles on Church history and Christian spirituality.
