"Uncovered" came out of months of hard work and my deep desire to share both practical experiences that readers can use (like the WordPress tutorials) and tips, secrets and suggestions to make their blogs well-known and popular. Any of you can realize the project of your dreams. You just have to know what direction to go and not get caught unprepared. The book's goal is to do more than just help you reach your goal. It wants to motivate those of you who are "stuck", who haven't succeeded yet (but still believe!) and those who are facing the same problems I've already been through myself. Each chapter in this book will give you some technical and practical pointers about how to optimize your professional blog, along with pieces of my personal story. I'm a big believer in sharing experience. I suggest links and references to other sites so you can delve further into specific topics, including with the help of some much-respected professionals. Each chapter will speak simply and clearly. I'll tell you what worked for me and what didn't work. I'll tell you the paths I took that led to success, which ones took the most effort, and which ones were total flops. Last and definitely not least, I hope these are not one-way conversations. We all can learn from others. Your objections or thoughts will be welcomed and appreciated. Read this book as an experimental mix of narrative, strategy, marketing tips, and technical tutorials. After all, life isn't all black or all white, is it?

I’m an italian Adobe Certified Expert (for Photoshop), teacher and graphic/web designer/project manager freelance. I was born in Florence, Italy. I have always had a love for all things related to computers and computer science in general. When I was still in university (I graduated with my first degree in Communications and Multimedia), I began my career as a freelance graphic and web designer. After working for a number of different businesses throughout Italy, I started to expand my knowledge into such areas as website project management, advertising for various international companies. Currently, I teach web design and i work as a graphic\web designer for a national research agency for the education. Of all my accomplishments, I am most proud of the work I've done on my personal blog. Over the years, it has brought me a lot of new experiences, including new clients, speaking engagements at international conferences, and the chance to meet extraordinary professionals. Last but not least, it has been a source of income in these years of severe recession. For all these reasons, when I am talking about my professional experience, I always put the blog front and center!
