About the author

Kionna Alexis is a poet, best known for doing spoken word in the Saint Louis art community. As a child, she enjoyed reading and writing. In doing so, she discovered a passion for putting words together at the age of nine where she began to write poetry, songs, and short stories. Kionna is a 26-year-old mother of two daughters, Khirsten and Kharis, who takes great pride in wearing several hats. Being a housekeeper, a chef, a nurse, a stylist, a photographer, a spiritual advisor, and a personal shopper, her daughters contribute greatly in the pursuit of following her dreams. When she’s not writing, Kionna enjoys painting, meditating, and motivating others. With a passion for writing, this is only one of the many books that Kionna Alexis plans to publish.

It was hard to put down... I opened the book and figured I'd read the first poem I came across to get a feel for the book. After reading the one poem it was like I couldn't stop... I stayed at work past the time I needed to be there because I was too busy reading this book of poems that had just arrived hours sooner. I would recommend this to everyone! A good poet makes you feel what they're saying, even if it has nothing to do with you. #PowerfulPoetry Read more
