Overview
Like a time capsule, author and award-winning photographer, Alisha McKellar, stumbled upon an old photo box filled with negatives from her years spent on Amelia Island, FL. Scanning them in, she remembered the magic of the island and decided to go back and recapture it. After spending the next few years revisiting the island, she compiled the old and new photographs into a second edition. She thought it was only right to give them a proper home in this memorable collection of Amelia Island.
Description
This second edition of "Two Decades of Amelia Island" includes both black and white and color photographs, along with poems and passages inspired by Alisha's time spent on the island. With images of sunrises, the beauty of the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, the birds that call Amelia home, the history of Fort Clinch frozen in time, and even the pier that was lost to Hurricane Matthew in 2016, Alisha has made a permanent home for two decades of beauty. If you have your own connection with Amelia, this book would be a perfect addition to your own memories or a gift for other artists.
