Description
Tutu means grandparent in the Hawaiian language. As a collection of thoughts and whimsical artwork, "Tutu's Pearls" reflects the truly important concepts of a life well lived. It contains the "pearls of wisdom" that the authors have learned in their 50 years of friendship. "Tutu's Pearls" helps us remember who we are. May it be a gentle reminder to live a life focused on love rather than fear. These "pearls" are for "children" of all ages. May it become the inspiration to lead a more joyful life. This book contains simple lessons that we seem to have forgotten. In an era of high-speed and ever-changing technology, the authors want to share that miracles are abundant in this world if we only take the time to notice them. These pearls may help you reconnect with the magic of childhood and the wonder of nature. Both children and adults may find this book to be a soothing bedtime story. It helps quiet the mind at the end of the day. We hope this book will help "plant the seeds" of wisdom and kindness in a world that can be somewhat chaotic. May this book help boost your confidence and recognize your personal magnificence. "Tutu's Pearls," the first book in our Kupuna series, may bring peace and comfort within its pages. Kupuna in the Hawaiian language refers to our elders, (it is literally translated as "Ku," meaning "My," and "Puna," meaning "Source"). We hope that your experience with this book makes you feel like you just had a big hug.
About the author
Janet lives in a cabin in the woods in Washington State. She loves painting, gardening and spending time with her dog, Whisky and all her woodland friends. Linda lives in Hawaii where she can see both the mountains and the ocean. She loves snorkeling, dancing hula and spending time with both her woodland and ocean friends. This book is the creation of two Tutu's who have been friends for over 50 years. It is the "pearls of wisdom" we learned through experience on this magical adventure we call life.
